You might not have heard of us, but you’ve certainly tasted our snacks! In fact, we’re the largest producer of the private label snacks America loves and the largest producer of kettle cooked chips in the world, and we’re looking for Water Resources Technicians for our Phoenix, AZ location.

A Day in the Life of a Water Resources Technician

Water Resources Technicians are directly involved in making sure every product that leaves Shearer’s Snacks is of the highest quality and ready to make people happy at their next picnic, birthday party or snack time. As one of these important team members, your day will include:

  • Safety
  • Following technical operating procedures
  • Maintain record-keeping procedures
  • Develop operating improvements
  • Interact with facility operations and maintenance
  • Perform basic lab tests
  • Adjust the system processes and equipment based upon system analysis and trends
  • Monitor facility performance to assure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency
  • Work with maintenance personnel to affect repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Supporting your team as needed

On the Move

In order give your best, you must also be able to be on your feet for up to eight hours, keep up with a fast, repetitious pace and perform repetitious lifting.

A Well-Rounded Team

Here are a few other things that would make you an ideal Packaging Associate at Shearer’s Snacks:

  • Previous waste water experience preferred, but not required

  • High school diploma

  • Environmental degree or Waste water license a plus

  • Must have a mechanical aptitude for understanding and maintaining system equipment

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work safely in varying climatic conditions

  • Ability to manage time effectively and make calculated decisions
